On the morning of Monday, August 20 - the first day of Fall 2007 classes - an unidentified visitor places a white daisy next to each victim's hokie stone at the intermediate memorial. The memorial had been formally dedicated the previous day. Many new flowers and mementos continue to be added to the site, while old items are gradually disposed of or put in storage.

A Virginia Tech faculty member and student volunteer at work in the newly completed center of the intermediate memorial, carefully organizing plastic daisies into the shape of the VT logo. For months, these same VT daisies were a fixture on the drillfield grass. Photo taken July 6, 2007.
